When he began DJing in 2000, Covert at first played trance. However, he soon felt that most songs in the genre lacked direction in terms of progression. Eventually he found this aspect in techno, which is what he plays today. Playing at many memorable forest parties such as Stilldream has inspired an earthy, tribal sound in his music, which is characteristic of all of his sets.
